What is the difference in the CCH and CCW classes?

Both classes are approved by the North Carolina Department of Justice.  Both classes once passed offer a certificate to apply for a conclealed carry permit.  This is depending upon you passing a criminal and mental health background check.  The difference in both classes is the amount of hands on training with a firearm, the level of training and depth of training.  NRA NC CCW provides a more comprehensive training than NC CCH.  For more detailed information email instructor@steeleinsight.net.

What is the most important aspect of your company's training?

Safety is always first in our training.  Safety is 1st, 2nd and so on, safety must be practiced in class, on the range and at home.  Any time you handle a firearm you must treat it as if it is loaded, even after you have verified that it is not.

How do I know what gun I should purchase?

Purchasing your first firearm should not be something you take lightly.  Do your research on firearms in your price range.  Read reviews on the firearm that you like.  And finally go to your local range to see if they have the firearm that you considering purchasing and rent it.  When possible always test the firearm for comfort and recoil before you purchase it.

Any person may ship a firearm to himself or herself in the care of another person in the State where he or she intends to hunt or engage in any other lawful activity. The package should be - 5 - addressed to the owner of the firearm “in the care of” the out-of-State resident. North  Carolina Just changed its laws for obtaining a handgun purchase permit, how does this affect me?

The biggest change is that you no longer have to go through the Sherriff's office to get a permit to purchase a handgun.  If you are purchasing from a Federal Firearms Licensed dealer they will still contact the FBI do do a NICS  background check at the point of purchase.  For a more detailed explanation please email me.
